Our journey into the world of indulgence began in 1927 in the enchanting Certaldo, Tuscany, where the historic Gelati Menne is based.
A company with an important heritage in authentic Italian ice cream, created when Amegon Pieragnoli – also known as “Menne” – started producing and selling homemade ice cream on the streets of Certaldo, a picturesque town near Florence.
Parallel Lives
Just 7 years later, in 1934, the “National Milk Industry” began to write its own history, in our historic site at No. 88 of Iera Odos in the heart of Athens, in the same place where it has stood ever since, under the watchful gaze of the Acropolis. It was there that the first ice cream of EVGA was born, which was loved by generations and generations!
A new era begins
Over time, the know-how and passion for quality ice cream of the two historic companies “married”, Athens met Tuscany – and from this unity we drew inspiration, innovation and new ideas, which we brought back to Greece, renewing our identity and inaugurating a new era!
Today, as Menne, we continue with the same dedication and passion the tradition of creating unsurpassed ice cream flavors of superior quality, honoring our history and at the same time moving forward with a modern look and creativity.

At the same time, with the authentic Italian ice cream, as Menne SA we remain dedicated to the creation of beloved dough snacks, such as the Croissants Folie, Praleda and Trendy, which stand out for the taste and care with which they are prepared!
